I was born and raised in Adelaide and moved to the Kimberley region around 1996. I ran the Kununurra Backpackers for about 12 before starting work as a presenter for the Breakfast Show here at Waringarri. I was in that role for about three years and returned to this position in October 2013.
I love everything about the Kimberley region - the country, freedom, wet season, people, the ancient history and the wildlife. During my spare time I love to play golf and I'm very much into my sport - especially cricket!
I enjoy listening to all genres of music - music is my life. I love everything from the 60's, 70's and 80's through to country and dance music. I believe that this is what makes Waringarri Radio such a great station to listen to - it has such a diverse playlist that appeals to all listeners. I love mixing it up here!

Presenter - Afternoon Escape
My name is Claudia Parsons, I am the youngest broadcaster here at Waringarri Radio, I moved to Kununurra when I was 11, so about 5 years ago now. I was born and raised in a little farming town called Caveside in Tasmania, than at the age of 9 I moved to the “Big Smoke” (or the mainland as we called it) Victoria, until moving to the beautiful Kimberley’s for a change of scenery (although we had no idea how much we would love it.).
After moving to this beautiful town, through my schooling I was introduced to this crazy amazing thing we call the media industry, and I internally fell in love. As I was shown more and more of the industry I knew it was for me, I have since completed my Cert I and II in creative industry’s media. Through my passion for all things media, I have had the chance to experience incredible things most people my age never get to do. It was through these achievement and opportunity I got the amazing chance to apply for this broadcasting passion at Waringarri Radio and although i am still a year 12 student I was incredibly lucky to get this job. With every day I work here I learn more and more and fall more in love with what I do, they say if you find a job that you will love you will never work a day in your life, I’ve been lucky enough to find a career that I love.
